Hey Everyone,
Am in L1B since 4.5 years ie from 2015 January till now. I got my H1B approved last year. Am currently in L1B visa and didn't transfer to H1B visa. If I transfer to H1B then I can use only 1.5 years (4.5 years in L1B - 6 years of total H1B, which am not interested in.
Upon research, I came to know that I can use 6 full years of my H1B if I stay out of USA for one year. So am planning to go to India, stay there for more than 365 days, get H1B visa stamped and travel back to USA.
Can you please let me know if my understanding of the system is right? Because am planning to leave in another 15 days.
