H1b petition with another employer while waiting for current H1b extension

My current H1b visa with company A is expiring on Aug 25th, 2019 and they are currently in the process of filing for h1b extension. I have a job offer from company B. Can company B apply for h1b transfer while the current h1b extension is still in process? Urgent need - appreciate any help.

Yes you can and since you are on valid status for now definitely company B can transfer your h1b. No issues in this.
