DS-160 error in filling the name

hi,

I have an appointment tomorrow with the consulate, i somehow submitted with my first and last name interchanged.Can i attend the interview and let the officer know about the error.
Please let me know if anyone has done this before.It is too late to cancel my appointment.

Yes. That is not a problem. If you are going to Mumbai, then tell them in the beginning of the interview starts. If you are going for chennai then before you appear for visa officer, you can make corrections with document verification window.

You can also call the VFS helpdesk and they should be able to help you.
