Can I use previous employer's I797 which is still valid for H1B transfer?

I resigned from Company A and joined Company B when the H1 transfer was still in progress. Now I have a better offer from Company C but the current H1 transfer is not completed so I do not have the I797 from Company B. Can I use the I797 from Company A which is still valid for H1 transfer to Company C?
