Hi,
I was on H4 and my I94 is valid till next few days. I joined a company after my H1 was filled last month and got approved. I joined them after seeing that my case is approved in uscis website.
Its been a month and I haven't received the I797 with new I94 yet. Uscis says that they have posted it.
Please note that I was on H1 earlier and am quota exempt. So, my I797 should come with a new I94.
If I receive the I797 after my current I94 expires, will there be any problem ?
For how many days a person can legally work after I94 expiry ?
Uscis has asked me to wait for another 30 days for the I797 to arrive. But by then my I94 will expire. What should I do ?
