Job Change - Need Suggestions

Hi,

I am in 5th year of my H1B and will finish 6 years on H1B on 12/2011. I have an I-140 approved from my current employer.

If i switch job now, I think i need to apply for GC again. By when my LC should be filed so that I can extend my h1b beyond 6 year.

12 months prior to your 6th year end (basically, 12 months prior to your i_94 expiry on the 6th year).
