Urgent plz respond: Do we need original I-797 for H4 stamping?

Hi,

I am in US and sending documents for my wife's H4 visa in India. Different threads suggests that my wife need to carry my original I-797 for Interview? Please suggest.

If needed, how reliable sending that through FebEx? I need to send them by end of next weekend. Please share if anybody has good/bad experience with FedEx in this situation?

Advisable to send original to avoid query. Through fedex its safe. Send with delivery confirmation option.

Original I-797 of the principle applicant is required (make a copy of it and remove the I-94 before sending it via courier). If not FedEx (or any other courier for that matter) then you will have to go in person to hand it over to her or find someone reliable who is going back to India. What other options do you have?
