Location : Cuidad Juarez
My conversation with the Visa Officer [VO] went like below.
He did not ask me many questions or did not ask me for any documents.
He looked at his computer for so long and told me that my case is on 221g and will let me know if any updates.
What could be the possible reason why my case is put on 221g - Administrative processing.
I am on EC [Employer-Client] model and my case is squeaky clean and not sure what triggered for 221g.
The main concern is, how can he assign me a 221G without asking for any documents during the interview to support my case[like client letter/tax returns/w-2's or etc]
Please share your thoughts what could be the possible reason for 221G.

Me: Good Morning Officer, How are u?
VO: Good.
Asked for my documents[I-797, Passport, Employer Letter]...and I presented them
VO: Are you working for the same employer from the last visa stamping..
Me: No
VO: Tell me about job duties.
Me: Explained my job duties.
VO: Did you visit these countries.[He was speaking out countries like Iran, Syria, Baghdad, Pakistan and so on]
Me: No... No...No.....No and so on
VO: He typed for some time and checked in the system for some more time.
He called his senior/supervisor and checked something in the system.
VO: You application is under 221g and we ill let u know if any updates.
Me: Do I need to submit any documents now?
VO: No.
