L1 to H1b , Stamping in India or USA ?

hi,

I have Indian Nationality
My L1 is stamped in Germany
If H1b is sponsered , do I have to get it stamped in India or can it be done in USA itself.

Can I have both L1 and H1b simultaneously and willl my current employer will know that Iam processing for H1b through another sponserer

I dosent want to quit the present firm,but would like to have h1b stamped as a backup plan

pls advise
