H1B Transfer - COVID 19

My current H1B visa expiring on April 12th 2020. My new employer filed H1B transfer and extension on 03/31. With all the COVID 19 lock down happening, I'm not sure when I am going to get a receipt number for the H1B transfer. Is it ok to join the new employer without receipt number?

I am in same situation. My transfer petition was sent to USCIS on March 20th and got receipt number on March-30th. You should get the receipt number soon.

Please let me know what you decided? join on receipt number or wait for approval (6 - 8 months?).
