I have been working in the US on a H1B visa for 8 years. I have an approved I-140 from my current employer. I would like to go back to my home country and work for a couple of years and then come back to the US. What are the options for me to come back to the US? Can I come back on a H1B without being subject to the H1B cap? Or is it better for me to come back on L1? Also, would the priority date on my I-140 stay the same if I file a new application after coming back to the US?
