H1-B Transfer and my passport validity

I'm in the process of changing my employer. Offer accepted , but the new companies immigration department hasn't started their process yet for my H1B visa transfer.

The validity of my current Indian passport is between 6 and 7 months. Not sure if a 6 months minimum validity is required for transferring the visa.
My passport validity is till October 22nd 2020, so the six months would start on April 22nd 2020 (if there is such a criteria) .
Don't think this is a right time to apply for my indian passport renewal. Will there be any problem for my H1 B transfer considering my passport validity ?

Also any idea on how long it will take to approve a new LCA for me? yet to file it though.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Hi,
When you file H1B petition, If passport has a validity then you will not have any issues. Once you file the petition after approved also you can get the renewed passport..
Regarding LCA, usually it will take 7 days to get certified.
