  • H1 Stamping

    Hi,

    I am american graduate.

I am planning a trip to India. I am on H1 and my stamping expired in May 2009. I didnot leave the country since then. In between I changed my employer. Last month I took new oppourtunity as a subcontract with YYYY but my end client is YYY keeping my employer the same. My employer had filed new LCA for the new work location.

    Couple of questions
Should I be going to India as I need stamping?
If yes, Should I be saying that my end client is YYYY or YYY. I think I would need a letter from the client.

    Please advice.

You need to go to the home country for stamping only if this is your first time H1B stamping. If you already had an H1B stamping in your passport, then you can get it stamped from any U.S consulate that accepts third country nationals.

Your end client is YYY and you will need a letter from them. Also, get a letter from YYYY stating that they are your prime vendor.
Not a legal advice. Use of this information is strictly at your own risk.
