  • H1B Transfer approved but not join, do I still need the paper I797?

    Hi all,

I currently work at company A and company B filed H1b transfer and it got approved. I decided not to join company B, do I still need that paper I-797 approval notice (company B don't want to send it to me)? Or are there any scenarios that I might use it in the future?

    Thanks in advance!

Since you already have the I-797 from Company A, you should be good

Do I need to mention this transfer any where in the future H1B transfer or extension?

A copy of previous 797 is required as proof that you are cap exempt.
Your I94# is proof of legal stay.

No. You do not need to disclose this.
