chances of h1 approval through consultant firms

Hi all,
I was just wondering if anyone had a general idea of what the chances of getting an H1-b approval were if the petition is submitted by a consultant company as opposed to your direct employer? I have had friends who got their h1-b approved through consultant petitions in the past (late 2008), but I have been reading various articles which indicate that they are making it harder for that to happen. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

As long as your company submits all the required doucments, you will get the H1B approved. There are many consultants still in U.S and they do get their petitions extended.
