This may be slightly off-topic, but I don't think entirely so, as I want to see a discussion on the economic effects of the RECENT influx of H1B visas on American software developers/tech workers and general opinions on it.
The very most argument I hear from the pro-side (companies) is that they can't find enough skilled workers to fill high-demand/high-tech jobs. The most common argument from the con-side is that the incoming H1Bs are taking American jobs. I don't necessarily believe either one, just putting it out there.
