Hi, I got H1 COS (from F1) first time approved in 2020. Due to a family emergency, i have to travel to India. My company is not supporting work from India and I will have to go on a loss of pay till I get stamping. I have booked an appointment for March 2021. I want to check will it affect my H1-B status? Can my company hold my H1-B visa? Will there be any legal challenges later on? Please advise.

Answer: No. No need to run payroll while you are abroad. So your abroad visit and not pay during your travel will not make any issues.

Answer: Of course Yes. If they are accepting and approved your vacation days then nothing worry.

Answer: As per my knowledge, No issues I found from your scenario.
