Dropbox Eligibility 24 months exception rule update post 12/31/2020?

recently there was an update where dropbox eligibility criteria was changed to allow 24 months instead of 12 months for last stamped visa. this exception was valid until 12/31/2020
any updates on this exception rule, is this being extended or not.

Please see below Expansion of Interview Waiver Eligibility.

Department of Homeland Security has temporarily expanded the ability of consular officers to waive the in-person interview requirement for individuals applying for a nonimmigrant visa in the same classification. Previously, only those applicants whose nonimmigrant visa expired within 12 months were eligible for an interview waiver. The Secretary has temporarily extended the expiration period to 48 months.This policy is in effect until December 31, 2021.
