Hello, I am in USA on H1B Visa. I came to USA in Oct 2020 and my wife having H4 is in India and working in a company. She came to USA in Mar 2021 for a vacation. While I was checking with an agent for tax filing, he is advising that I can claim my wife as a dependent for tax benefit. Is that okay? Whether that will cause any problem in future for my extension or I140 approval or my wife's H4EAD approval?
