    Expired /Unused H1B visa

    I have had issued h1b visa stamped on my passport 10 years ago. I never traveled to the States on H1B and it's expired since 2014 (as per visa)

    Do my employer ( changed) need to file a fresh petition under the regular cap/lottery ?

    Or can my old authorization be reinstated in any ways? would it be cap exempted and can file the petition anytime outside of the cap?

    Any inputs or ideas would be appreciated
