Hello Experts,

1. I am currently on H1B. I have an valid H4 EAD which is no longer in use due to my COS to H1B. If I move back to H4

(a) Will I be able use my EAD card
(b) If yes, do I need to wait till my H4 is approved?

2. I don't have H1B stamping. I was initially on H4 and later moved to H1B with CoS. If I move back to H4, can this H1 later be used again via some other employer. I have all the required petition etc.

Please see my response below.
(a) Will I be able use my EAD card
Answer: No. You can not utilize the previous EAD. You will need to again file H4 change of status petition then file H4 EAD.
(b) If yes, do I need to wait till my H4 is approved?
Answer: As I mentioned above, you will need to file H4 change of status petition again then file H4 EAD petition.

Answer: You can not utilize current H1B Approval if you file change of status petition.. Again H4 to H1B change of status in order to get employment on H1B.
