H4 Visa Appointment Confirmed

Hello,

Based on the ******** interview of the Don Heflin (Minister Counselor for Consular affairs)on 10th Nov, he stated that for now they are focussing on 'F' visa's until the year end. Does this mean that already booked H4 visa appointments will not be honoured or will be cancelled? Has anyone recently had a H4 visa interview appointment and was honoured? This is for Chennai location. My family is travelling from US to have this stamping done which is scheduled 10 days from now. Help is appreciated.

Answer: No.. Definitely not like that. Many people are booking slots under H category and attend the Interview and travelling to the USA..
What my understanding is, they may release many slots for F visa rather other visa categories. But not completely occupied by F visa. Unless you get any Email communication from consulate, you will need to confirm that, your slots are confirmed and you will need to present at consulate/ embassy for visa Interview.
