lost expired passport with H4 visa and old I-94
Though we paid the required $25 extra for the mail for the renewal of my daughters indian passport,the san francisco consulate office sent it by ordinary usps mail with a tracking no.They sent a mail on 20th sep,2010,giving us the tracking # which said they sent the passport on 13th.on enquiring in usps tracking system we found that it was delivered on 16th sep,which was never received by us.we thus lost both the old passport along with us H4 visa and the old I94s stapled in it.On complaining they hurriedly issued a new passport for my daughter.My question is,
1.how can i get the old passport ,along with visa and old I-94(I have her recent I-94 ,and photocopies of her old passport along with the visa and i-94)
2.have complained to usps,will we have to make a police complain?
3.why they have mentioned 'damaged ppt cld and returned,in the re-issued new passport?while it was never reported damaged?
4.do i have to apply for the old I-94s and H4 visa? if yes,where and how?
5.WILLBE TRAVELLING TO INDIA FOR A MONTH IN DEC;WHAT DOCUMENTS NEED I CARRY?
