I-94 attached to I-797

I recently got my H-1B approval notice effective Oct 1, 2010 and am travelling to India pretty soon. My I-797 has I-94 attached to it but I have a confusion. I understand that I need to submit this new I-94 along with my white I-94 at the airport when departing US. But I-797 has two portions (left and right) of I-94 attached to it. Which portion should I submit at the airport? Should I submit both left and right portions or only one?

Back side of the left portion would say "Alien's Permanent Record" that is I-797 part for you to keep (never lose this part). Right part would look and read exactly like your old I-94 on back and front(right part is your new I-94), you need to submit both Old and New I-94 while departure from US. Hope this helps.
