Will my L1 get cancelled if went for H1B stamping?

I am working in India and having L1 from my present company.

Now I got my H1B filed from a consultancy firm in USA and planning to go for stamping.

Questions:

1) What happens to my L1 if I go for H1B stamping?
2) Is there any impact on H1B if L1 is not used?
3) How will the decision on H1B will impact my existing L1?

---- The L1 petition will still remain valid until its expiry. The visa stamp on your Passport may be Canceled Without Prejudice (CWOP) by the VO, That does not make any difference as you can alwasy go on to L1 if you want to. The total validity for L1 plus H1 is a 6 years

2) Is there any impact on H1B if L1 is not used?
