My wife is on a H4 visa. While trying to apply to jobs online there is a question "Are you legally allowed to work in USA?" What does that mean? There is another question following it "Will you in the future need sponsership?" This would mean if you need a H1 or GC sponsorship.
---- It is to find out if you already have a working visa status and can start working anyday for the employer. This includesa H1 approved petition or a GC. Although if someone has a H1 petition they still need sH1 sponsorship to transfer teh H1
What would be the right answer for "Are you legally allowed to work in USA?" for someone on a H4 visa
---- A person on H4 is not legally authorized to work and you will be requiring spoonsorship. Say yes if you need sponsorship now or in the future
