  • Letter Format written by spouse for dependent visa(H4)

    Hi,
Can any one send me the letter format which the principle applicant (H1B holder)has to write to the embassy for dependent visa(H4).

    Thank you in advance

You don't need a letter from your spouse.
You might need a letter from spouse's H1 employer though, which also may not be asked by visa officer.

        Hi OP,

As already mentioned - letter is not required from Spouse (H1) but it is good to have the letters from you and employer's side stating the details about H1.

Still I am mentioning the format just for your peace of mind....

It is good to have a letter from the primary H1B holder addressed to USCIS stating that he/she will support the dependent on all financial needs and he/she will make sure the depends won't work upon receiving the H4 status. There is no specific format.
