MY existing H1B visa is vallied till the end of year 2000 , but i worked with that company till the end of April 2000, later on i moved to another company from MAY 2000 and i got H1 B approval on Sep 2000, i have a gap of 4 months from May to Aug and i dont have H1b approval to work with new company. If INS asks about this gap or proof of work authorization ? what is my situation , Please help and give me solution.

Hi Dan
When you have moved to Company B in May 2000 and filed for new H1 B you might have got the EAC receipt.Though the H1 B got approved in September 2000 you are still in status as you got the EAC receipt.

Hi sippy, thanks for your suggestio, but am looking below info.

Yes am leagl to livin in US, i am taking about the gap from May to Sep 2000


Company A: H1b Vallied till Dec 2000( But Worked till April 2000)

Moved To Company B and started working from Sep 2000
Company B Applied H1b on Aug 2000 (as per acknowledgement) got approval on Sep 2000.

The gap between Company A and B is May2000 to Aug 2000

Please guide me

Hi Dan
During that gap you might be in the bench If I am not wrong.So If at all they ask you about that period then you have to give some satisfactory answer.
