L1 to H1 Premium transfer

Hi,

I am on L1-B visa from my existing company. I am getting offer on H1-B Visa with new employer. New Employer is saying they will transfer my L1-B visa to H1-B visa with premium processing and my visa will be transferred in 1 or 2 weeks.

Could anybody update me >>
Whether I can join new company on H1-B visa immediately after getting my H1-B approval without getting it stamped from India(my home country) .

Any help will be appreciated.

You can't transfer like that.

You will have to apply for new H1 visa which is subject to cap and you can apply only when cap opens again.
You can work with H1 visa approval, you don't have to get H1 visa stamped. If you visit anywhere outside US, you have to get it stamped before you will be allowed to enter again.
