I have a valid U.S. visa until September 2025. In 2023, I changed employers and was issued a new I-797A valid until July 2026. In June 2024, I traveled to India and returned without getting the new I-797A stamped in my passport. As a result, my I-94 still reflects the old validity date. Since my passport hasn’t been updated with the new I-797A, my current I-94 shows a validity only until September 2025. Given that my approved I-797A is valid until July 2026, am I allowed to stay in the U.S. beyond the I-94 expiration?
