H1B valid visa holder denied entry by CBP

Incident happened this evening.

Upon arrival at airport, my friend was informed by the airline that he had been denied boarding due to instructions from US Customs and Border Protection and asked him to contact Embassy/Consulate. router login

Did anyone face similar kind of situation? Please help to share any inputs as he is stranded in India.
