[B]Extension of H1 petition[/B]

HI,

I work for a desi company. My H1 petition & visa got approved in July 2010, and my petition is valid till Jan 2012.

However, due to my project requirements, I might travel to the US only in Aug 2011.

My question is:
Do I stand a fair chance of extension of my petition in Jan 2012. Or is there a chance that my petition might get rejected.

I see no issues. You can extend the petition before your I-94 (The one that will be issed to your at the POE) gets expired. Extension can be filed upto 6 months in advance.
