last date to re enter US before visa expiry

Hi

My H1B expires on 31st july can I visit India in June and come back to US by 30th June and then file an extension, wil I be denied entry to US ? My visa is still valid until 31st july which is one more month?

Is there a minimum number of days before the extension needs to be filed before visa expires?

You can enter anytime as long as the visa and petition remains valid. You will get an I-94 only till the petition expiry date. Your documents for the extension should reach USCIS before the I-94 expires. So calculate accordingly and plan your trip.

How long does it take for the receipt of extension to come after filing it with USCIS( not the actual approval) but the receipt of acknowledgemnt
