Return to US after filing extension without approval

MY H1B expires on 31st July if I file an extension now and visist India in JUne can I come back by June end...( as my H1 b is still not expired) and assuming i wont receive the approval notice of my extension as by June.

It is never advisable to leave the country when the extension is pending with USCIS. If you do so, the petition might get approved without a new I-94. Either go out of the country only after receiving the approval notice or file the extension after returning back. A premium process will give you a result within 15 days.
