Many people have got their H1B petitions approved successfully based on their bachelors degree after discontinuing the masters. Maybe you will have to answer few questions about discontinuing the masters if asked in your next visa stamping at the U.S Consulate.

Thank you for your reply. Could you clarify this doubt of mine.

Bachelors degree is a minimum requirement for H1B visa. That is clear. Now I entered USA on F1 visa to pursue masters degree. Now that my reason for entering USA being Masters degree, can I still apply without completing what i really came here for?

Will this case be still treated as a person having a foriegn bachelor's degree without any degree from USA which is ofcourse eligible for H1.

You don't need a masters to get an H1B. Check the requirement in the below link to to see if you qualify for the H1B without a masters.

Hi Guys,
I am a graduate student pursuing Masters degree in Computer Engineering in Bay Area. I will have completed 30 credits at the end of spring'11 and will be left with 6 more credits to graduate. Because of some issues in my college, I have to transfer myself to H1b visa at the end of this semester before I graduate. I do have a job offer and a company to sponsor me the H1B visa.

Now my question is under these circumstances with 6 more credits to graduate, a company to sponsor me the visa, is it possible to get my H1 application approved? Are there any blocking issues here? Please help. It is very urgent for me.
