L2 Visa to H1B status

Hi,
I am having a L2 Visa with valid EAD expiring Aug 2011.

My employer filed for H1B petition and It is approved as well.
H1B: validity starts from 1st June 2011 to 31 May 2014.

Now I have to go to India in May 2011 and will return on 16 May 2011. i.e before my H1B validity starts.

1) Will I be able to come on L2 visa again on 16th May 2011?

2) How the H1B visa takes into effect from 1st June 2011? Do I need to do anything after coming to USA?

3) Will my L2 Visa will automatically become invalid from 1st June 2011?

1) Will I be able to come on L2 visa again on 16th May 2011?

>> Yes , you can till the person on which you are dependent is working in US.

2) How the H1B visa takes into effect from 1st June 2011? Do I need to do anything after coming to USA?

>> No, once you start working , employer holding your h1 will start paying tax and hence your h1b will become valid.

3) Will my L2 Visa will automatically become invalid from 1st June 2011?
>> Yes , it will.
