  • Counting 6 yrs on H1

    Hi All,
I read other posts with similar Qs but didnt get my answer hence posting

I came to the US in Mar 2007 on a H4 and got a H1 in Oct 2007.
Do i include my H4 period as well in the 6 yr count.
And if that is the case does my 6 yr term end Mar 2013?

    Thanks
    M

Probably you did not search properly. There are lot of posts that has the answer to this question.
Only the time spend in U.S on L1 and H1B status counts against the 6 year term.

Hmm. So the H4 term does not count?

If you are in doubt, consult an immigration attorney.
