Appreciate if any one can provide me with the correct Info.
I came to US for the first time in July 2000 on H1 visa. The visa expired in Oct 2002. Before expiration, I applied and got H1 extension till July 2005. I went back to India in Dec 2002. I was out of USA for about one and half years. I came back to US again in Aug 2004 using the same H1 visa extension papers that I got in 2002. Now the question is:
Since I'm out of USA for more than one year, am I entitled to stay here for fresh 6 years period
OR
Though I'm out of USA for more than one year, but used the same H1 visa to enter USA again, does my 6 years period of stay start from 2000 ?
