H1B - Cancel without prejudice

Hi,

I am working for company X, and I have H1B visa from them.

I have resigned from company X and will be joing company Y in next couple of months. Company Y is ready to file my H1B petition.

I have some questions:
1. Can company X ask me to cancel my visa saying "Cancel without Prejudice"?
2. If that is not cancelled, can I use the same VISA (company X) for company Y to enter into US, even my petition for company X is revoked.

>>> Visa is the property of the U.S government and only the consulate has the authority to cancel it. Your employer doesn't have the authority to cancel your visa. They can only cancel the petition that they filed.
