If you do that, she might get the visa only for 4 months (Till the passport expiry date). It is advisable that you wait until you get the passport renewed.

I have applied for my daughter's passport renewal in tatkal scheme. Passport office gave us back her old passport with a remark " new booklet will be issued". Her old passport is valid till NOV 2011 ( less than 6 months). Till date, the new passport has not come. She has a stamping date on 1st July.

Q1: Could she go for stamping with old valid ( till NOV 2011) passport?
