h1b and i94 extesion and visa re-stamping queries

Hi all,

My H1B is expiring in August. My employer has applied for an extension last week. I want to know the following:

1. To get the visa stamped with the new dates in my passport, do I need to travel to India? Or can i travel to any other country like Canada / Mexico to get the new dates stamped?

You can get it stamped in any U.S consulate that allows third country citizens. You can go to Canada/Mexico.
