Multiple H1 petitions

Employer X filed my H1b petition, and the result is awaited from USCIS. However, during the course of things, my potential association with X has soured and I will no longer be stamping/ using their H1b.

Is there any way, this petition (whatever the outcome be) be held against me with respect to any future visa petitions/ stampings?

Also, will I need this petition in future in order to file another new one?

It will not affect your future applications.
It is good to have at least receipt for the petition, so that it can be used in future to show that you have been cap counted.

This H1 petition is already using the cap of my last approved petition. I am not filing under new cap. I am not even sure if it will get approved.
Should I still get the receipt. Not sure if employer will give it to me. If there is RFE, I am not sure now that they will even reply to it.

Does any of this affects me in any way?

Like above it will not affect anything. You don't need to get the receipt.
