L2 to Student visa

Hi,

In March 2012 I will complete 5 years on L2. I am planning to go for Masters in US in 2012 Fall.

Will there be 7year limit ( 5years on L2 + 2 years on student visa ) for me?

There is no limit on how long you can stay in L2 status. Only L1 and H1 counts. Of course if your L1 spouse/parent is maxing out the 5 or 7 year limit (L1A 7 years, L1B 5 years), you all will have to leave the US.
