help regarding H1b Photo - Got pink 221g (chennai)

I had all the documents clearly, but when the consulate asked about my designation, it was too noisy around me ( some child was crying behind me on the line) I could not listen propoerly, she repeated twice and issued me a pink form, I went to another counter when my number was called, there is an Indian lady was asking about my 129 petition, she kept my passport and then said that visa has been approved but some admin processing pending so I have to wait for a couple of weeks. Is that means my visa will be aproved?
I did not submit my photo (hardcopy) anywhere, Is it compulsory to submit a photo or it is option? Shall anyone share about their experience?

221g is issued for additional admin processing. If the admin processing is successful, then your will get the visa stamped. Search and read about the experiences posted by other 221g receivers in immihelp. The soft copy of the photograph that you have submitted along with your DS-160 is good enough.
