  • H4 stamping required?

My wife has valid B1 for 10years, and she came to the US on B1 visa, and now, and we applied for H4, got H4 approved till my H1b validity period.

Since she got H4 approved. If she travels abroad , is it a must for her to go for visa stamping again?

I presume visa is only to enter and exit the country, and to stay in the country status determines?

    Thanks

If she want to return back in H4 status, then she need to get the H4 visa stamped. If she enters in B1/B2, then she will be in B1/B2 status. In that case she will get an I-94 only for 6 months or less. Every visa has its purpose. B2 is a tourist visa. If she is not entering U.S for that purpose, then she should get the H4 stamped and enter as a dependent.
