  • Client Letter question for H1-B stamping

For my H1-B petition renewal, an RFE came asing for Client Letter. The Client did give me a letter on their letter head as per my request and had my parent company(the petitiion employer) listed on the letter - just them. I then got my H1-B I-797 approved (a month ago)
In reality, there was a vendor in between the client and my employer.
Now, I am going to India(in December) and need to get visa stamping(at Chennai). Will the same kind of letter(as provided earlier) from the client work with a most recent date ? Or is there a need for 2 letters - one connecting the client to the vendor(to get from the client) and one connecting the vendor to my employer(to get from the vendor) ? During the interview, would they have reference to my earlier letter that was used to give the H1-B I-797 approval? Please advice as to the best way to go about.

The same kind of letter with the latest date should work. If the client can give a letter mentioning your employer, then the chances are high compared to having a layer inbetween.
