H1b stamping in Beijing for Indian citizen

Guys,

I am in US on O1 visa. My company just got an H1 approved for me. I have to travel to Beijing for work next month and I was wondering if it would be advisable to just get an H1 stamp in Beijing itself. That way I don't have to go to India just for stamping. Any thoughts? I was thinking if I do get stuck for 221G, I will at least able to work in the meanwhile.

Also, I am a direct employee for my company which has about 1200 employees worldwide.

If this is your first time H1B, then they may ask you to get it stamped in your home country.
