Letter from employer for visa stamping

My husband had to go to india on an emergency as his father was serious and he does not have a valid visa. he falls under chennai embassy. now he got the appointment in delhi. he needs a letter from the employer describing his need to come back to usa. so can somebody help me giving a sample letter.
