  • Traveling Outside US on copy of I-797

    Hi,
    Here is my situation:
I worked for company A in 2010 and changed my company from A to B
Company B apply for my I-797 in June 2010 and get the notice of action and I start working with them

My visa with the company A expires in Sep 2010 and so do I 94

in Feb 2011 I got my I-797 however I didnt get I-94 and it was mentioned in my I797 that I have to go back to my country in order to get visa and I 94 so I leave USA in March and apply for visa from my country .

I got my visa after 6 months however on 5th month company B cancel my case remember they didnt tell me about this. I still have that I-797 with a valid date on it.

As soon as I got visa I fly to USA an I find no problem in POE.

when my company knows that I arrive in USA without any problem they reapply for my i-797 in premium processing in December I got approval on the web however I didnt get the original copy yet.

now i have to trave outside USA in emergency.

    My Questions are:

what if I travel outside and my company email me the copy of I-797
is there any problem at POE with this.

    Your help really appreciated.

If you leave the country now, then you need to return the I-94 that comes with the approval notice back to CBP. Follow the below link to return the I-94. Your employer can courier the approval notice to you and you can re-enter with that approval notice and a valid H1B visa.
