Practically a few days (1 or 2 weeks) may be ignored by USCIS at their discretion.
The old employer is of course required by law to provide airfare to home country for the terminated employee.

Hi ,

How much grace period is there to transfer H1 after laid off from company who is holding my H1 .
My employment is terminated and I am looking out to transfer the H1 at the earliest .
